Raising Libyan EFL undergraduate students’ awareness about environmental issues through project-based learning

Although project-based learning, as a language teaching strategy, is considered important for developing college students' academic and soft skills still neglected approach in EFL Libya. This study aims to investigate the use of learning writing classrooms raise students’ awareness about environmental issues. It carried out Department English at Sabratha College Arts. The findings this study, based on an open-ended questionnaire reflection journals, show that PBL enhanced knowledge skills. Also, students gained content environment, skills, autonomy, self-confidence using its context. Finally, experience promoted environment how protect it. research provides good evidence effectiveness engage enhance learning. Keywords: EFL; issues; Project-based learning;
